Oh yes it was a call out! go erin, go erin! hahaha no pressure though. Sam Bush sounds like so much fun! I think I'd rather be tubing down the Poudre than kayaking on Hilton Head. I'm leaving on Wednesday to go visit Trent in Michagan, we are going to Rothbury Festival and both are mega excited! I saw Dickey Betts from the Allman Brothers a couple weeks ago, it was pretty cool because he came to Hilton Head, where concerts rarely take place.
Good luck with Preview and I hope you are having an awesome summer! BTW, What do we need to do to get involved with the DNC?

I'm so jealous about not being able to get up to the mish for that show!

Yeah the storms were pretty exciting actually. Yes, hundreds of trees were down, some were really tall ones that knocked over power lines. We actually had a tornado warning at Oakland Univeristy and we took cover in the laundry room while the storm passed. As for the health department, I heard temperatures of foods were taken at places without power, but I'm not sure of the local regulations and whatnot... Also, I tried to inspect a pool on monday and they didn't have power so that didn't work out. So yeah...

Hi Erin,
They are doing confined space entry training with me and teaching me how to collect all the necessary data for the noise project and eventually I'll be writing a report on the noise findings

About Me:
I am the Internship Coordinator for students in the Environmental Health undergraduate program at Colorado State University, so I help students through the process of finding and applying for internships.

Our students do internships with a wide variety of employers and in different aspects of environmental health, including public health, epidemiology, consumer protection, veterinary epidemiology, toxicology, industrial hygiene, environmental health & safety, environmental consulting, sustainable living, and health-related research.

Types of employers who hire our interns include local health departments at the city or county level, state health departments, private industry such as Anheuser Busch and Amgen, environmental consultants, and federal agencies such as the CDC, USDA, EPA and US Public Health Service.

Not only do our students intern locally in Colorado, but we also have students interning throughout the US, including California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Utah, Nevada, New Mexico, Arizona, Alaska, Michigan, New York, Georgia, and Texas. Students have the opportunity to work with me to set up international internships and we recently have had students in Honduras and South Africa, and several students in Nicaragua this summer.

Summer is halfway over!!

Hello EH students!

For those of you who are seniors doing a Capstone Internship for credit , I should have received your midway evaluations by now. Check with me if you aren't sure if your Preceptor has turned that in. And your Internship Notebooks should be filling up… Continue
