Environmental Health Interns

A look into the lives of CSU's Current Environmental Health Interns

Hello EH students!

Well, since Charlotte called me out last week, it must be time for me to write my own blog post. Can you believe that finals were 7 weeks ago? And fall semester starts in 7 weeks and 4 days, so we are halfway through the summer.

For those of you who are seniors doing a Capstone Internship for credit , I should have received your midway evaluations by now. Check with me if you aren't sure if your Preceptor has turned that in. And your Internship Notebooks should be filling up with the details on all of the great things you are doing on your internships. Remember that ERHS 487 is still available to you on RamCT so you have access to the necessary forms and information 24/7. And of course, you can always call me or email me with questions.

What's happening at CSU this summer? Well, the Independence Day holiday is giving us a little break from Preview, which is CSU's freshmen orientation. Along with Dr. Blehm and the advisers in Microbiology and Biomedical Sciences, I have been busy helping incoming freshmen in the College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences register for their fall semester classes. This is one of my favorite activities because it is so fun and exciting to meet these enthusiastic incoming students and their families. What do you remember about your Preview experience?

Outside of work, Jeff and I have been having fun this summer. We attended his sister's wedding up in Red Feather Lakes at Fox Acres County Club (what a blast!), and have been to just one show at the Mishawaka. Next week, we'll hit our second show when we see my favorite mandolin/fiddle player, Sam Bush, up there and combine it with a camping trip in the Poudre Canyon with our dogs. Jeff has been fly fishing a lot, of course.

I look forward to many more blog posts on your internships and other summer experiences. Keep those stories coming!

Erin
