Environmental Health Interns

A look into the lives of CSU's Current Environmental Health Interns

I've been keeping busy here at H&A. shadowing many of the consultants to their different clients. My favorite to date has been water testing at Coor's where I got an intense tour of the underbelly of it all and learned a lot about the process. In the production area we were investigating some chemical smells and walked in areas where it was raining (dripping) beer, what a wonderful perfume for the rest of the day! My least favorite has been the Meat Packing Plant where I witnessed some very sever safety hazards and still think about the employees there and hope they make it through the day. That is one reason I could see myself doing consulting work, if it would really make an impact on the safety of others. I've been to Pilatus, a place that makes high end passenger airplanes that are shipped all over the world. I have really enjoyed the construction site visits that I have done and I wish I knew more about that stuff. Kind of a rough crowd but seems cool. I have a few more weeks here and am trying to figure out my Fall plans. Golden is great, so beautiful and lot’s of stuff going on like Films at Red Rocks and clubbin in Denver 
